Welcome to Logan Circle
Welcome to Logan Circle, a historic neighborhood at the center of D.C.'s boom! It allured residents with its quirky historic architecture, trendy hot restaurants, hip decor, stylish shops, performance venues, and walkable blocks packed with many things to do.
Logan Circle is an art, entertainment, and dining destination that has kept much of its historic charm. What was once a civil-war encampment was now a commercial corridor and the city's most desirable vibrant neighborhood.
Logan Circle's central business hub is at 14th St NW transforming the blocks between M and U Streets into a recreation ground. All thanks to restaurants, indie and national brand shops, and a lively bar scene.
The shops attract designers and browsers for quirky kitchen goods and locally made crafts in the daytime. Prominent retailers include West Elm and Room & Board, which converts the auto showroom into a fantastic roof deck. You will also find off-beat antiques that showcase a rotating selection of art, antique furniture, and retro collectibles.
Dozens of restaurants make converted historic buildings their home. They offer distinctive beers and hearty comfort food. You can also experience dining at Le Diplomate, a french brasserie with retro decor and a decadent menu. Weekend brunch draws the young crowd to El Centro D.F., which offers Mexican cooking and drinks, and an Ernest Hemingway-themed American spot, Bar Pilar, which is known for sandwiches that cures hang-over.
Nightlife also thrives here. Most restaurants and bars on the street's sidewalks, cafes, and patios offer happy hour deals. There's a legendary Black Cat that hosts indie bands, dance nights, and regular D.J. sets.
